Error (1) while copying org chart entities between files.

I'm trying to copy a series of Org Chart entities between 2 files within Visio 2003. When I either click the copy icon on the tool bar, or the Edit>Copy control on the menu or even right click and copy I get a Copy Error (1) message. Has anyone experienced this and if so how did you resolve it?
