Error 100 When Opening Visio File

Help !!!! I had a system crash while a visio file was open... Now when I try to open it, I get error 100: Visio cannot open the file because it is not a visio file.

The extension has not changed.... Is there anything I can do ?

Error 100 is an unrecoverable error. The only thing to do is use the last
version you backed up.
