Hello,
this is a strange error I'm getting. This is at a business.
There is a server with lots of WORD documents. The error is only
happening on one workstation. I've formatted that disk and re-installed
winXP pro as well as Office XP. I've patched office and windows to
latest patches.
Only under one folder, word gives errors. I noticed that the properties
of the files that give errors have the template as Normal.dot
The others have it just at Normal (no file name extension).
That's all I've seen!
I've tried deleting the normal.dot file and replacing with one I know
works but I still get the same error.
What is causing this? I've done a bit of research and the possible
areas this error comes from are a lot!
I've set the default printer to the PDF converter but that didn't help.
All the other machines work fine and they're setup the same way.
Thanks,
Oskar
ps. Machine setup for all office workstations - winXP, OfficeXP, full
version of adobe acrobat and AVG virus scanner.
