Error: 1025

Running Panther(10.3.2), Entourage 10.1.4, Exchange 5.5.

Have gotten this since adopting the "Exchange Aware" version. After Send &
Receive runs, if I then click on INBOX in my Exchange account, I get this
error. I seem to be receiving mail properly, otherwise.

Mail could not be received at this time.
The server returned the following error

The requested message could not be converted to an RFC-822 compatible
format. Please contact your administrator.

Error: 1025

I have observed that I also get the error if I refresh the message list with
CMD-L.

It seems to me that Entourage sends different messages to the server, based
on whether it is making scheduled requests for messages, requests initiated
by the S&R button, or requests initiated by selecting Inbox or CMD-L while
in Inbox.

I used tcpflow to monitor traffic in Entourage and found the following:

The program tcpflow reported this, then,
A007 UID FETCH 11695 (UID FLAGS INTERNALDATE RFC822.SIZE RFC822.HEADER)
A007 NO One or more arguments are invalid

Today, using Panther, Erage 10.1.4, and Exchange 5.5, tcpflow shows me this:

Xxx.xxx.073.211.50160-Xxx.xxx.043.007.00143: A007 UID FETCH 1254 (UID FLAGS
INTERNALDATE RFC822.SIZE BODY.PEEK[])

Xxx.xxx.043.007.00143-Xxx.xxx.073.211.50160: A007 NO The requested message
could not be converted to an RFC-822 compatible format. Please contact your
administrator

And this is when it was happy:
Xxx.xxx.073.211.50157-Xxx.xxx.043.007.00143: A010 UID FETCH 1254,10478 (UID
FLAGS INTERNALDATE RFC822.SIZE BODY.PEEK[])

Xxx.xxx.043.007.00143-Xxx.xxx.073.211.50157: * 458 FETCH (UID 10478 FLAGS
(\Recent) INTERNALDATE " 9-Dec-2003 13:21:53 -0600" RFC822.SIZE 1087 BODY[]
Xxx.xxx.043.007.00143-136.205.073.211.50157: {1087}

The 073.211 is my Mac, the 43.007, the exchange server. In the last message
you see UID 10478, which corresponds to message 458. Message 458 was NOT
READ when the non-alerted message occurred. I gather that FETCH 1254 is to
retrieve the date for message 10478. When FETCH 1254 is requested, by
Entourage, without sending a message number, the error is generated.

To further confuse the mix, the Error Description is not cued every time the
error message is sent back from Exchange. The error message "No The
requested..." is sent each time INBOX is selected and there is not a recent
message in the folder proper.
