Hi all.
When I try to install Off2000 Standard in a W2K OS I get
error 1311. The text in the message box says "Error
1311. Source file not found(cabinet): D:\OFFICE1.CAB.
Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."
The Off2000 CD shows a file named OFFICE1.ZIP, but no file
with the name OFFICE1.CAB.
The verbose.txt log file shows that this problem occurrs
when installation of the file MSCOMCTL.OCX is attempted.
Finally, I'm trying to reinstall OFF2000 because I had
tried to apply a patch. Stupid me, OFF2000 was working
fine before the patch. The patch screwed things up, so I
removed OFF2000, and now I'm trying to reisntall it. What
the patch did is to create an error message, because it
was looking for the network site from where I had
installed OFF2000 years ago. Of course, that site doesn't
exist anymore, so I was really stuck. Every time I tried
to open Excel, voila, the patch error message pop up, and
it would not let me open Excel.
Thanks for looking at my posting.
