error 1311

I have a german Edition of Office XP for students. It has
always worked but now I got a new computer and it
doesn't. When I try to install it, I get this error
(roughly translated):
Error 1311. Couldn't find source file D:\office1.cab.
Make sure if this file exists and if you can access it.

I am using Windows XP and have full administrative
privileges. My system is:
AMD XP 2500+
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
1gb Corsair XMS pc3200
Radeon 9500
sb live! 5.1
LiteOn CDRW
LiteOn DVD
Seagate 40gb PATA hdd
Seagate 80bg SATA hdd

I have tried putting it onto each hdd, but it won't work.

update: I can find the file now, I told windows to let me
see invisible files. Still no Install.
