I am attempting to install Office 2000 SP3 on a WIN2K
system (named PC4). I recieve the error message "Error
1321: The Installer has insufficient privileges to modify
file:..."
I am logged on as an administrator.
I had successfully installed SP3 on another WIN2K system
(named SV0). One possibly significant difference between
the two systems is that PC4 has the .NET 1.1 framework
installed on it, while SV0 does not.
When I first encountered the error, I checked my logon
attributes and found that my standard PC4 logon user had
somehow changed groups from "Administrator" to "Debugger
Users."
-- Changing my PC4 logon user back to the Administrator
group did not relieve the error;
-- Logging onto PC4 as "Administrator" did not relieve the
error;
-- Adding all groups to my standard PC4 user did not
relieve the error.
