Error 1328 Trying to install SP1

It seems I am not alone with this problem. I noticed
several other postings.

Trying to install SP1 and getting the error message 1328,
telling me that my config.msi file has been modified and
can no longer be changed.
When digging deeper I find that the problem lies with the
file pt1bc.tmp When I try to edit this file, I get
another message telling me I am out of F A R Memory.

What is F A R Memory?

Is the Microsoft sp1 team planning on solving this
problem?

I have evin rcvd. the sp1 update on CD and I still get
the same error.

Please help us. We need an answer for this problem.
