Error 1328

Hi Stan,

If this is with MS Office XP Professional + FrontPage then

From Start=>Run type
%TEMP%
to take you to your Windows temp folder.
From there, use the information in this article
http://support.microsoft.com/?fr=1&kbid=315152
to identify and locate the setup logs for
Office XP Service Pack1 (SP1) in a subfolder
of your Temporary Files folder.

Once you locate the setup files, use the information
in the 315152 article to locate the Office product
version in that log (rather than the less reliable
information in the .INI file also mentioned in the
article).

If the version of Office XP Professional + Front Page
shown in that log file is 10.2627.0 then it is
a pre-release version, never sold by Microsoft and updating via
http://officeupdate.microsoft.com isn't suported by Microsoft

(FWIW, MS doesn't have software for retail customers
that is sold in CD only form) and the MS supported
method for solving the problem is as listed in the
above MS Knowledge Base article if you have 10.2627.0)

If, on the other hand, the version in the setup log
shows as 10.2627.1 (not per the .ini file)
then it can be a problem with either the MS Installer
or from not first shutting down all other software
utilities and antivirus.
