Error 1328

I'm trying to update Office 2000. I get Error 1328. It says that it
was probably updated by other means.

But when I run the Office Update checker, it says I still need SR-1!

Question: Is it possible to install 835220 without SR-1 being
installed? Because when I installed 835220, it installed just fine.

I'm all confused.

Which file does it say was updated by other means?

Did you ever install SR-1 before?
