error 1335

I have a hp pavilion pc. and i installed office 2000, it
was working fine. but i had to a destrucitve system
recovery and when i tried to reinstall office 2000. error
1335 comes up. i tried setting the memmax value to 256.
my pc has 256mb. and i tried flat install. its not
working. can some one help me please....

Hi Jacob -

Most of the time, simply cleaning the cd-rom disk thoroughly will resolve
this issue for most customers. Check out the following article for a little
