Error -1517

I have a form that works perfectly on all PCs with
WIN2000/ACC 97.
On the PCs with WINXP/ACC 97, we get the "Reserved Error -
1517" message under this condition only:

When the user Right Clicks and does Filter by form - it's
OK. It's when they try to Right Click Remove the filter
that's when the message pops up, In addition to the
message, one of the fields(cboSPECIFIC_ISSUE) gets the
#error# in it. When we close the form and look in the
table, the record is fine. No #error# in the table.
I have imported all objects into a fresh db, I have
repaired & compacted it.
Still, this problem occurs. I have FE/BE set up with the
FE on the local PC and the BE on the server.
It works for all but the WINXP folks. (And it doesn't
happen ALL the time, just most of the time !!)

I have checked the references, but I am not sure what
could be missing.

Is this is a known issue? Is there a workaround or fix?

It just seems odd that it only happens on the WINXP PCs
and only when right clicking "Remove Filter"

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I've noticed this problem several times when I've added a foreign key
to a table in the backend which was inserted into the middle of a
table. Everything would work fine for days or weeks until the backend
was compacted. Then the FE would puke with the -1517 error you
mentioned whenever that particular table was accessed. But deleting
the link and recreating the link made it work again.

BTW the problem with searching for the answer to this question is that
you can't use the -. The search engines will then ignore that keyword
which is exactly what you don't want. Searching on 1517 and
microsoft access would've found you the answer.
