Error 1606. Could not access network location %APPDATA%\

While trying to update a previously saved Word file, a message read: Your
autocorrect file, ice\OFFICE12\1033\MSO.ACLMSO 1033.acl, could not be saved.
The file may be read-only or you may not have permission to modify the file.

I checked the security properties for this file and it should have allowed
it to be modified and saved (as the file was previously/currently saved in
the administrator user). This occurred several times.

I decided to try uninstalling then reinstalling Microsoft Office Home and
Student 2007 in hopes of correcting perhaps a problem with the Word program
but during the uninstall process the dialog box came up saying "Error 1606.
Could not access network location %APPDATA%\"

Has anyone experienced the same problem and does anyone have a solution?

Run Office setup from the Control Panel, Program and Features, then choose
REPAIR.
