Error 1606 stops installation

I have purchased Office Home and Student 2007. When I try to install, I get
Error 1606 Could not access network location %USERPROFILE%\Printhood\. part
way through installation and then installation fails. I am trying to install
on a PC running windows xp home edition sp 2. I also have Microsoft Office XP
Small Business Version 2002 installed on the same machine that I want to
keep(after all I did pay for it) I have already read Microsoft's Article ID
886549 and verified my registry entries as correct, but this article does not
list Office Home and Student 2007 as one of the products that it applies to.
Is there something else that I should be looking for? Thanks for any
suggestions

Powerpoint was not a part of my Office XP Small Business installation, which
is one of the reasons I need both programs installed. Do you know of anything
I need to be looking for that is keeping me from installing initially? If I
have to uninstall Excel and Word from the 2002 version, that is fine as long
as it will allow me to do the installation of the Office Home and Student
2007 edition.

I need to keep everything I have except Word and Excel. I don't care if those
are upgraded or replaced with 2007 version. I use Access 2002, Publisher and
Photo Editor frequently and can't take the chance on losing those programs. I
also don't want to lose Outlook. The only thing I really wanted/needed from
the Office Home and Student 2007 is the Powerpoint and Onenote. No matter
how I try to install, upgrade, custom etc. I still get this pesky 1606 error
and can't find a way around it.

Although I was pretty sure my Windows Installer wasn't the problem, I checked
it too. It also checks out ok and this is the first program I've ever had
trouble installing. I can only assume there is a glitch somewhere in the user
account that I was logged into. I was finally able to install Office Home and
Student 2007 by simply creating a new user account with administrative
access. Glad to say I was also able to keep my Office XP Small Business
installation in it's entirety and both programs seem to be operating just
fine now.
