Error 1606

I am running Windows XP full install not an upgrade with
Office 2003 Profesional and just started getting the
following error: "Error 1606: Cold not access network
location c:[]. Any ideas on how to resolve this error?

A few more details I get the when I try to launch IE,

or and of the Office Apps. If I cancle out of the error
I can use IE and MS Excle but Not MS Word.

I tryed Q315352
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Common Administrative Tools

I have also tried to uninstall Office 2003 pro but get
the same Error 1606.

Any sugestions are welcome as I am hoping not to have to
do a rebuild of my computer.
