Error 1624 problems.....

I was uninstalling Microsoft Office 2000 disc 2 in order to reinstall it. It
took an extra long time for it to uninstall. I thought it was done but it
hadn't removed it from the add/remove list. So I went through tweak UI to
remove it. When I tried to reinstall it, I received an error 1624 which is
"error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transforms paths are
valid." I wanted to know how to verify that the specified transforms paths
are valid

Are you just trying to re-install Disk #02? If you are then you can't
because you need to start from Disk/Cd #01 so that the path is
registered properly.

Because you have uninstalled the package manually, the setup
configurations in the registry are all messed up. Some entries have
been deleted while others have remained there so the system is now
confused.

I suggest try to re-install from CD #01 using the command line like
this:

d:\setup

where d: is your Cd-Drive letter - could be E, F, G etc depending on
your system and other HDs/USB devices.

I have already reinstalled disc #1 and I still get the error 1624 message
when I try to install disc #2. But I will uninstall disc #1 and reinstall it
and see if it clears up the error 1624 message.
