Any help appreciated!
i have deployed an app using access 2000 runtime. all works well on client
machines until users try to view a report exported to snamshot viewer
format. administrative users have no problems but restricted users get
'Preparring to install..' dialogue apprearing at the point where the
snapshot image should appear. This ends with Error 1706, even if the source
media is available.
Looking at the event log, I then see this problem has generated 2 errors:
EventID 1001: Detection of product '{004F0409-78E1-11D2-B60F-006097C998E7}',
feature 'AccessRuntimeMaster' failed during request for component
'{67125480-CE38-11D1-ACBB-0080C7FCBB84}'
and
EventID 1004: Detection of product '{004F0409-78E1-11D2-B60F-006097C998E7}',
feature 'AccessRuntimeMaster', component
'{8ADD2C98-C8B7-11D1-9C67-0000F81F1B38}' failed. The resource
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Access\UserData' does not
exist.
Admittedly this key does not exist in the registry, but it does not exist
for admin users either and they have no problems. Also would expect the
runtime install to setup all the keys it needs..??
Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot?
thanks
