BlankWhen I run my Access 2002 application on my client's machine, I get
"Error 1706 No valid source could be found for product DAO"
I don't get this message on my development machine (Win/2000 Server) nor do
I get it on my test machine (Win/XP).
My client's machine is a newly purchased Gateway. Fool that she was, she
had the part-time high-school 'Para-geeks' at the deep discount electronics
commodity store install her Win/XP and MS Office software. Since then, she
has been getting this error message.
It is strange, but when we click OK on the message window, the application
loops around to display the error a second time. After a second OK-click,
everything seems to work ok. I'm left with an uneasy feeling about this as
DAO is a big part of my VBA logic.
I tried to remedy the problem by reinstalling 100% of MS Office from my
Office CD, but that didn't fix the problem.
Can anyone tell me what is missing and from where should I get it for
installation?
Thanks
Jim
