I've read about some similar problems in Entourage 08 but suggested solutions don't appear to work.

I've an email list of about 50 that I'm unable to send. The error description reads "4.1.1 ... temporary failure" the explanation reads "mail could not be sent."

I'm use comcast and am only having this issue when mailing to a group. I tried splitting up the list, sorting to remove blank entires and verifying syntax. I'm not sure creating a category for this email group will make a difference.

I'm mainly posting to find-out what the "4.1.1 ... temporary failure" error description means. Please advise.

Most likely this is coming from your ISP, ask them.

4.1.1. COMMAND SEMANTICS <http://www.freesoft.org/CIE/RFC/821/14.htm>

You could try the old divide and test approach.

Remove half....test
If that does not work...remove half of those
Rinse and repeat.

If the first set sent, then add the remaining back a few at a time until you
find the bad entries.
