Error -18493. Mailbox reached its size limit.

Running Entourage 2004 connecting to Exchange 2003.

User receives this error message every time the mail is checked.

"Error -18493. Mailbox reached its size limit."

Limits on the Exchange server are turned off. Mail is being received
without any problems - but the user continues to get this error.

Anyone else having this problem... Any ideas?

I too am encountering the same problem on one of my MACs
here at the office. I am continuing to receive "Error -
18493. Mailbox reached its size limit." this only
happens on one of the Macs at the office. The other MAC
works just fine.

I'm also experiencing this issue with one Mac user. No limits on
server either. I'm out of the office until next week but am curious
to hear what anyone has found on this. Has anyone tried removing that
account and recreating it?

Is the message referring to the sender of the messages (the local mac) or
the recipient of a message?

The message says "Your mailbox has exceeded the size limit." and then
gives the account name. I'll be able to look at it tomorrow first
hand.

I'm seeing the same -18493 exceeded size limit errors on all e-mails with
attachments over 7-8MB only. Entourage 2004 / Exchange 2003 (no limits).
A solution would be a life saver.

Entourage 2004 has no size limit on the database. This error must be coming
either from the exchange server or from the recipients mail server.

I checked the server and there are no limits on any accounts.

Any Ideas would be helpful.

You need to check again. There are no size limits in Entourage. This message
must be coming back from either a server en-route, or (most likely) from the
recipients mail server.
