Error -18493

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: Exchange

Since late yesterday I am no longer able to send e-mail from Entourage. Every time I send an e-mail I get an error dialog with error number -18493 with a description as follows "The message either exceeds the message size limitations or the recipient's mailbox is full."

I get this message even with a simple test message with nothing in the body of the e-mail, no attachments, etc.

Entourage receives all new e-mail sent to my account. I am able to send messages using the Thunderbird e-mail client.

At this point I'm baffled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Gordon

Sorry for the post. I discovered the problem. My Sent Items folder on the Exchange Server had never been emptied since I began using Exchange last October. Previously I had used Thunderbird which did not save a copy of my sent e-mail on the server. Are there any settings or mail rules I can use to NOT save a copy of my sent e-mail on the server?

Also is there a setting or a rule I can create to empty the Deleted Items folder on the server on some regular basis (daily, weekly etc.)?

I'm not sure if this helps, but here's what the Entourage Help Page has to
say about error -18493:
