Error 1911 on install

I'm trying to load Office 2000 on a brand new Dell 745 XP pro machine.

I get Installer information error "Error 1911: Could not register type
library for file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\VBA\VBA6\VBE6EXT.OLB"

Clicking retry gets repeat of error. Clicking ignore gets "Error 1911:
....\VBE6.DLL"
then Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\VBA\VBA6\VBE6.DLL failed to register. HRESULT -2147024703"

I keep clicking 'ignore' and it finally loads office. Then when I try to
open word I get "The visual basic enviroment could not be initialized.

I've never had this problem on older xp pro machines.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Found that when I was searching for solution, but none of the files listed
on my install matched those. Mine were all visual basic errors, so I didn't
give the solution a try.

Guess I'll give it a go.

Thanks
