Error 1919 - Office XP pro on Win XP Home

I followed the suggested resolution (Microsoft Knowledge
Base)to this problem. I made the changes to my registry
and then tried to run "C:\Winnt\Inf" but get a message
that it can not be found. I also did an advanced search
and could not find it. It is though this file that I get
to install "Mdac.Inf" (the apparent answer to Error 1919.)
Has any one else run into this? Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated. I did have Word Perfect Office 2000
installed which I read may have caused the 1919 error
when it uninstalled.
