Error 1919 On Setup - Keys Are Present

While installing Office 2000 I received the Error 1919. A little research
pointed me to the Microsoft KB from which I downloaded the checker utility
and the MDAC for my release.

Before running either the checker or the MDAC, I did verify that the two
suspect registry keys associated with this problem typically, were actually
in the registry. They are.

I ran the checker and it claims I am fine the way I am.

I ran the MDAC and it tells me the current release is installed.

Still - I get the Error 1919. Looking for some more good ideas...

Did you also download Jet? its not included with the MIDAC installation

Funny you should ask. Did some more research last night and discovered that
I probably had to install jet as well. Downloaded it and will try the
install today. Will post results. For such a common problem one would
think there might be a packaged solution to this error. It's really taken
quite a bit of research to discover the necessary steps. Then again, maybe
I just came at it from the wrong direction...
