I have been trying to install Office 2000 and toward the
end of the installation routine I have been getting a
series of error 1919 messages dealing with ODBC. I have
reviewed a number of KB subjects (282010, 324628) as well
as Corel's knowledge base which mentions this problem.
The two MS KB articles seem to contradict each other on
some points and I am confused which procedure/files should
be used. I have downloaded and installed the two files
which appear to be at the root of the problem but am still
getting the error messages when I reinstall MS Office
2000. Should these files be installed with Corel
WordPerfect 2002 still active on the machine or should I
removed the Office Suite before installing the two
downloaded files MDAC_typ.exe and Jet40sp7? I am using
Windows XP home edition.
