Error 2026

One of our resource mgrs is trying to change a resource
to inactive. He is getting a 2026 error. I found that
this error is related to rsResourceNTAccountInvalid but
that is about it.

Any ideas on how I can fix this for the RM? His
permissions haven't changed, but this nice error just
started showing up.

thank you in advance for your insights!

Is the user no longer with the organization? If so, perhaps his Windows
account has been deactivated, so Project Server can't find it to change it.

Here's one way to check/fix:
From Project Pro, as an Administrator, choose Tools, Enterprise Options,
Open enterprise Resource Pool. Select the problem resource (or all
resources), and Open. Then, try to save the Enterprise Resource Pool.
Project Server will attempt to validate all the users' Windows accounts. If
any fail, it will not permit you to proceed until you fix the problem(s).
Problem resources will be in Red text. Delete their Windows ID information
in the dialog box. Fix all such resources, and continue with the Save. Then
your colleague should be able to inactivate the resource.

Thank you for your tips Reid. :)
The users to be deactivated have left.

What is weird tho is that as an admin I can change those
resources to inactive without the error and without
taking out the NT id.

Why wouldn't I receive the same error?

Thx!

I don't know why you don't get the error. It's just another MS mystery, and
a lesson learned, I guess.
