Hello,
I have an image control on a form that when I double click, it opens up a
File Dialog so the user can pick a photo, which then loads in the image
Picture property. It works fine with files on the local machine or server,
but returns Error 2220 when I try to do the same with an image from the
SharePoint photo library.
I have a shortcut to the photo library on my local computer, so I can see
the photos. The address of the photo I want to inport is
http://sharepoint/appraisal/1st floor - Center Open Office.jpg.
I suspect the problem can be related to the following:
1) I need to use relative addressing (\\sbsserver\sharepoint) instead of the
http address
2) When I try to view the file using Windows Explorer and the aforementioned
shortcut, it displays a symbol instead of the image. That's unusual for a
jpg file. This leads me to believe that SharePoint is not actually exposing
the jpg to the file system, just a reference, hence Error 2220.
3) Using the Access Sharepoint List Wizard, I can see and create a linked
table for every SharePoint list except for any photo libraries, which leads
me to believe that SharePoint's photo libraries are not lists or are not
lists like the other list objects..
Am I correct in any/all of the above? Could you please help me figure out
how to solve this problem so I can use a picker to select a SharePoint photo
library picture and have it displayed?
Thank you so much for your help!
