Did you look at any of these articles?

You receive an "Error 2349: Copy Resumed With Different Info" error message
when you install Office 2000:

They may not relate *exactly* to the situation you are seeing, but the
troubleshooting tips may be worth considering.

I did read those posts but did not think they related to me at all.
As it happens the cd was in a CD-RW drive and this was causing the error, as
it was
in the other posts.
