Error 2711 reinstalling Office 2007

I originally received an internal error trying to send email through Outlook
2007 (which has been working fine for months) and as a reboot didn't help I
decided to reinstall the software. Uninstalling went OK but when I try to
reinstall it gets about one fifth of the way in and then complains about this
error:

Error 2711. An internal error has occurred.
(GraphicsFiltersCDRFilesIntl_1033).

Does anyone know what this means and how I can resolve it? I have tried
rebooting again but it didn't help.

Do you have the Expressions Web Designer beta on this machine? If yes, it is a conflict with that beta - remove it and you should be okay.

Are you trying to add additional Beta 2 products to an install that has been updated with Beta 2 Technical Refresh?

The sequence of events was (1) Installed Office 2007 Beta 1 (2) Updated with
Beta 2 Technical Refresh (3) Encountered problem sending mail (4) Uninstalled
Beta 2 (5) Tried to install Beta 1 with error 2711.

Ah! I solved the problem. I still had Project 2007 (Beta 2) installed so
when I went to reinstall Beta 1 of Office it was not compatible. I have now
removed Project 2007 and reinstalled Office 2007 successfully. Thanks for
your time.
