I have 4 dbases that have corrupted...I believe they corrupted on exit when
the compact utility was unable to complete because of network space. When I
tried to open the dbase after this network error, I was unable to open them
and it gives me the error above. one dbase gives me error 3011 and the other
3 gives me error 3343 when I try to open. I've tried to use a blank dbase to
import from the corrupted dbases, but it didn't work. it gives me the same
error. so it seems that the dbases are unrecognizable. is there anything i
can do?

Ouch. Maybe and maybe not. There are database recovery services but some
databases are too damaged for any recovery to be possible.

See http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm for a thorough discussion
and links to some of these services. And... resolve to keep current backups,
and probably turn off Compact on Close.

That's it? ouch? yes I have back ups, although not for every day. What causes
this? Is it not a major problem that you lose everything?
