I have seen similar questions posted here, but no ideas yet. I have a TransferText procedure that exports data to a text file. If I try to export it to a floppy in A:, I get a "error 3051; MS Jet Engine cannot open the file 'Added.txt'. It is already opened exclusively by another user or you need permission to view its data".
However, the same procedure, when you select a disk drive or directory other than A:\ (even a directory on a networked computer), exports the text files with no problem.
To add more to the confusion, this happens on a Win98SE computer, but not on a WinXp. It could be related to the fact that the Win98 computer does not have MSOffice/Access on it (?). The database is an Access97 mde file using Access97 Runtime.
