Error 3071 when entering data into a subform

I have 4 nested forms in an Access 2003 database. The third form is tabbed.
Everytime I enter data into the fourth form I get error 3071 with no
reference as to where the problem is. I am not using any expressions. If I
delete the data from the fourth form the error goes away. If I enter the
fourth form directly I can enter data with out an error. Only when I move
from the third form to the fourth form to enter data do I get this error.
What should I be looking for that I did wrong?
