error 3071

i have created my database in access 2000. i have many reports with
calculated fields (sum function) and it works fine. it seems that in access
2003 that i continued working with my database i get the run-time error 3071.

is the difference in access versions that causes the problem or could
something else be going wrong?

pls help me!

Angie,

Sometimes when you open in different versions Access forgets to update it's
own References. Go into design mode of any form or report, go to Tools then
References... Check to see if any say 'MISSING', uncheck those close and
reopen your database.

i have followed your instructions but there is no references menu in tne
tools option of any form or report. i am currently working at access 2000.

My bad... in design mode please click the Module button and then go to
Tools... References...
