The following is a TEXT BOX with these properties.
Name……………………Date
Control Source………Date
Format…………………Short Date (12/02/2007)
Input Mask…………...99/99/0000;0;_
This text box is on a form linked to Tbl_Advance_Mission. All records are
available to select using the scroll (VCR BUTTONS) buttons at the bottom of
the form.
When I click the “New Record†vcr button and go to the “Date†field and
begin to enter data, I receive the following error message:
“The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add.
Try inserting or pasting less data.â€
If I click Help, I receive the following message:
“The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add.
Try inserting or pasting less data. (Error 3163)â€
I then click OK and the message repeats. I click OK again and the message
goes away and I can enter data. The number I tried to enter before now shows
up and the cursor is awaiting the next digit in the date.
I have never had this problem in any other Access database I created.
