Wow, this seems quite the prolific error. Here's my situation: I have a SQL 2005 database with several tables, which are populated by a web app of several pages. That part works fine. My boss uses Access 2007 to look at and manipulate the data (read: delete records), which normally works just fine. However, on this one database, there are 2 tables from which she cannot delete any records. When she tries, she gets this:
"The Microsoft Access database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time. (Error 3197)" The thing is, nobody else is even looking at the database at the same time! And it only happens on these 2 particular tables, the other ones are fine.
I have tried deleting and recreating the problem tables, but the issue remains. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
