Error 3260--still can't send mail

I sent a previous message about Entourage not sending mail. I followed
the advice given in the reply I received, all except for running the
tcp check (?). However, I've noticed others are having problems sending
mail also, except under a different error code. The error code I get
whenever I try to send is 3260; perhaps this will give someone a clue
as to what the problem is. I'm nervous about getting too deep into
changing settings without someone right at my shoulder to catch and
correct mistakes, so I'll wait a bit and see what comes up about error
3260.
thanks!

See the Microsoft KB article <http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=824887>

To run tcpflow:

Download the Mac OS X version here:

http://www2.entropy.ch/download/tcpflow-0.20.dmg.gz

When you install, you do not see it.

To run the test, quit all other apps that might be connecting to the
internet like your browser, ftp client.

Copy/paste in this command in the Terminal:

sudo /usr/local/bin/tcpflow -i en0 -c

Now try to send the email and watch the traffic in the window of the
Terminal. You should see what is failing.
