Error 3709 on import dbf file

I get an error when I try to import a dbf file (dBase 5.0) into Access 2002:
"Error 3709: The search key was not found in any record."

I am importing the file into a new table (the import creates the table), not
an existing one. I don't know what to look for to resolve the error.
