Error -39 when checking Hotmail

I am a paid Hotmail customer and now I am getting error -39 quite
frequently... The error also states, "The end of the file was reached." Does
anyone know what's causing this?? Sometimes it will go away on its own, but
most of the time I have to clear my message cache and start again. (Which
doesn't always work.)

I am a paying customer too or rather will not be any more. Hotmaill has
not offered any support on this issue that many people are having
