Error 544 - Server Relay

I am sorry if this posts twice, I waited 10 minutes for it to show up after
sending and did not see it.

I have my own website/domain and have been using Outlook Express for years
with no problems. My servers are configured to my domain per their
instructions as follows:

POP3= pop3.mydomain.com
SMTP= mail.mydomain.com

USERNAME = (e-mail address removed)

My ISP is comcast so I have different settings for that. I just bought
Office Enterprise and wanted to start using Outlook. However, when I try to
send email i get a 544 - server relay error.

I have been told that I need to use my ISP SMTP server for my outgoing mail.

QUESTIONS:
1. Is this true and if so, why does it work one way with Outloo Express and
another with Outlook?
2. Does this mean that I will also have to use my comcast username and
password for my outgoing email?
3. If so, is that under "my server requires authentication"?

Neil M,
1. Check with the company that is hosting your Domain, see if there is
another port setting for the Outgoing Server. If you always had Comcast,
check (e-mail address removed) acct in Outlook Express, see if you set it up with a
different port setting than Port: 25 for the outgoing server.

2. If you need to use your ISP's server settings, place your the outgoing
comcast server name (should be smtp.comcast.net) in the acct settings page,
for (e-mail address removed) acct.
a. Check box to authenicate for outgoing server, on the Outgoing Server
page, under the More Settings button.
b. Put your Comcast UserID and Password in the appropriate boxes.
c. On the General tab page for the acct, make sure you put
(e-mail address removed) email address in the Reply box.
d. Send a message to your comcast acct, using (e-mail address removed) acct,
and see if that shows the proper Reply address.
