Error code above appears when I use the save as for a
drawing connected to an mdb on a 34 x 44 page size. We
do not have a plotter and commercial printers around here
do not have Visio. I'm trying to save as JPG or GI, or
PNG but I receive the error code mentioned above. Thanks
for your help.
Jesse,
I ran into a similar 920 export problem as well, but for me the
problem was occuring when I tried to export a multipage drawing into
any web supported graphic i.e. jpg, gif, png files, or when I tried to
export the file to an html web page. Sometimes the first page would
export, but then the next page would fail. The problem was objects
within the document that were too far outside the workspace area...Now
my resolution
1. First and foremost always make a backup your Visio drawing.
2. Select all your workspace objects and then add to a single layer,
if you have created multiple layers already then just lock those
layers and select the existing workspace objects and save those to
another layer, and then lock that layer as well.
3. Then click on Edit/Select ALL, this should not select any of your
existing workspace objects.
Now at this point you can either click the delete button to delete
these selected items that are not part of your project or you can go
to step 4 to try and determine what and where these items are located.
4. (While items still selected) Click on Tools/Property Report, click
next to continue. Then Select Current Page at the top, and you should
see an option to use currently selected shapes. Choose ALL, then click
Next two times, this will process a property report for all objects
selected(not your items your locked). View this report and look for
something within the "text: field you can do a find on within the
page. If no text then you may have skip this step and go to step 6.
5. Use Edit/Find to search for that text, Then either delete or
relocate to your workspace.
6. If that fails you can try changing your zoom percentage to 1% and
then hope your outstanding object is large enough to view.
7. If you find the objects great, if not just delete them. To verify
you no longer have outstanding objects repeat step 4 and it should
have the Currently selected shapes grayed out when you choose Select
current page.
Hope this helps..
