I am still facing problem in my team member project web access . and he is
facing an error

although I have checked the resolvation answer of this problem from news
group.

but my team member is still facing this problem.

" The requested URL could not be retrieved
While trying to retrieve the URL: <http://epm/projectserver>

The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for epm

The dnsserver returned:

Name Error: The domain name does not exist.

This means that:

The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.

Check if the address is correct.

Hi Michael,

It appears that you have a DNS error, in that the DNS Resolver (client)
cannot resolve the hostname (machine) to an IP address.

Is the problem only with you and the team member or with everyone trying
to access PWA?

If it is only you and the team member, then check the configuration of
your network card to make sure that you have the correct IP address of
the DNS server for your network.

Another troubleshooting tip is if you know what is the IP address of EPM
then you can type it in the Internet Explorer address line. For example,
if the IP address of EPM is 192.168.1.204, then you type the following:
http://192.168.1.204/projectserver. If you can access PWA then
definitely have a DNS problem.

You could also use the NSLOOKUP command-line tool to check for hostname
(machine) resolution. From the command-line (Start --> Run --> cmd.exe)
type NSLOOKUP EPM <enter>

Let us know what you find
