Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost.

I believe there are 3 posts in this user group on this error. None
have a resolution.

One of my users is now getting this error: Error accessing file.
Network connection may have been lost. He then hits 'ok.' A second
pop-up window states: This command will stop the debugger.
His network connection appears to be working. It appears to be
occurring every time he closes a project - even if he does not make
changes to a project.

There has been 1 recent change to Global Enterprise - the
administrators added the code to jump to current date upon opening a
plan; this error is only happening to 1 of our 40'ish users; so I am
not sure it could be the Global Enterprise change???

Does anyone have any ideas??? tx VERY much for your time...jlg

Gary, 1st an apology that it has taken me so long to respond - the
user reinstalling Project took longer than expected....

Secondly, thanks, Gary, a Mr. Obvious, I forgot to do.

We are in PS 2003, only upgraded to SP1.

On my PC, I can enter this person's plan and make changes and not
receive any error.

When I log onto his PC as me, I can get into the plan and there are no
issues.

When he logs into my PC as him, he can get into his plan and there are
no issues.

So then we tried 1st removing Project from his PC and then re-
installing Project on his PC.
Still he receives the same error message when he opens most files.
I then tried what we call 'bouncing' one of the troubled project
plans. Bouncing means writing the plan to a hard drive, deleting it
from the server and then saving it back to the server.
Still the error message appears.... We do not believe all of his
changes are getting written to Project Server.

So now we are stuck and would really appreciate any input you can
provide....

I appreciate any help you can provide!

Thx, jlg
