I successfully setup MOSS 2007 according to the install guide on the Office
beta website. I have a farm with 2 computers, one for SharePoint and one
with SQL 2005 SP1. The problem I am having is that when I run the
SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard and tell it to
connect to an existing server farm, I get the following error:
"Failed to connect to the existing server farm located at the specified
database server and database name. The database name is not a valid
configuration database."
I know the database server name is correct and when I click on "Retrieve
Database Name", it shows the SharePoint_Config database, which is the name
of the config database I used when installing MOSS. I am also using the
same username and password to connect as I did before. Anyone have any
ideas?
Thanks
