Don Couvillion
The OS is Windows 2000 Professional.
I logged in as "Administrator" and downloaded and installed the Office 2000
update.
Then I loaded in using my normal user ID and the next time I started Excel
2000 I got the following error message.
"One of your object libraries (stdole2.tlb) is missing or damaged.
Please run Setup to install it."
I then logged in as "Administrator" and ran Office Setup. This did NOT fix
the problem.
I've noticed that the error does NOT occur when logged in as "Admistrator",
only as a user.
I've tried re-registering the file while logged in as "Administrator" with:
regsvr32 "C:\WINNT\system32\stdole2.tlb"
This didn't work.
I've tried running the Setup program of VB application that using OLE
automation and that didn't work.
Any suggestions.
