error and crash messages after downloading project2002

Hello. I hope someone can help. I am a college student in
a project management class. As soon as I uploaded my
microsoft project software I started getting
constant 'this computer has experienced a serious error'
messages. Each time I followed thru and sent the error
message to microsoft, I kept getting the same old message
back which stated that 'microsoft detected a driver
error, blah, blah, blah,. (By the way, this is the
identical message I get when my pc restarts while I'm
playing games.) In the case of game playing, I have
followed through and have kept current with updated
drivers for (my lexmark printer) which is the only other
hardware I have connected to my system.
Sorry. Have had this error message problem for so long
I'm getting a little testy.
Anyway, this is the same message I'm getting with the
new software (project 2002) I just installed.
I went to Microsoft and downloaded what I thought were
the current downloads for PRoject 2002, but am still
having the sameproblem with crash and error messages.
I have a compac presario. I have windows xp
professional on it. It is 56.6K. I also have lots of
space. Am not a tekkie, but can find out exactly how much
space if I need to. Help...................mayjack

I can't help, but this sounds like a Windows problem rather than Project.
Try posting on the Windows XP newsgroup.
