Error and I can't rebuild the database

Hi all -

Recently when I start Entourage 2008 I receive the following error:

Your Entourage database is already being used by Microsoft Office.
Only one copy of Office can access the database at one time. You must
quit any additional copies of Office that are running.

I tried using the Database Utility to rebuild the database, but when I
launch the tool there are no databases listed for me to act on. Any
suggestions? The only cause I can think of was that I had to 'hard'
restart my computer before it stopped working.

Processor: PowerPC

It's not advised to rebuild an Exchange account. Create a new Identity in
Entourage and enter your Exchange account info. Entourage will sync back up
to your account. If you continue to have problems, then you need to check
out your account on the server. It's possible a failed rebuild has messed up
your messages on the server. You might need to restore from the server
backups.

I'm not actually able to open entourage without encountering this
error. The initial loading screen appears, and then I recieve the
above error. I also haven't had any problem accessing my Exchange
account from elsewhere (Online Web Access, Outlook).

Move or rename your Identity. This will allow Entourage to create a new
Identity automatically.

If this does not work move the entire Microsoft User Data folder to the
desktop. You can copy back any files to the new MUD folder that's needed.
