Error applying transforms

Today MS Offie 2000 stopped working on my WIndows 2000 PC.
I cannot open any office programs. All security updates,
patches etc for blasterworm have been performed and no
direct evidence for worm found.

SO I tried to unistall, and reinstall from Office 2000 CD,
but got the following message:

"Error applying transforms. Verify that specified
transform paths are valid."


What do I do now?
