Error archiving large folders, need an expert

hi, i've been running the "autoarchive" via tools/mailbox
cleanup but i always get error messages such as:
Error while archiving folder "Sorted Mail: Research " in
store "Personal Folders".
Error while archiving folder "Sorted mail: Philweavers"
in store "Personal Folders".

These folders are quite large and I suspect this is the
reason but don't really know for sure. I can't even
delete them to clear up space because of some permissions
although I have administrator access. MVP's, any
answers? Thanks
