Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a solution to this problem I'm having?
I am having to build a TOC in a separate document, which includes Chapter &
Page numbers. These are built from about 9 documents.
To do this I used the field code {SEQ Chapter \R "chapter number, ie 3" \H
\* mergeformat} at the end of each Heading 1 in each separate document, so
that when I built the TOC, it took the correct chapter # (as word was setting
this to 0 or permanently to 1!).
Then to build the TOC in each chapter document, I used {TOC \o "1-4" \s
Chapter \* Mergeformat}
This builds fine in each chapter and when I copy it into the separate
contents doc, it is fine - saves OK, but when I re-open, sometimes the fields
coded chapter # displays Error! Bookmark not defined (and sometimes it
doesn't!!) and the page # always displays this message.
The weird thing is I have successfully created this before for some other
documents and the contents work fine.
I can't work out why this is occuring now! If anyone has any ideas, I'd
really appreciate hearing them!!
many thanks
