Error: Cannot connect to the Analysis server on computer <server>

Hello,

We are running Win Server 2003 with project server 2007. I am new with this
and am trying to setup analysis services so we can build OLAP Cubes.
Currently I am getting the following error when trying to build the cube:

Error: Cannot connect to the Analysis server on computer

We do have Analysis Services sp4 with SQL Server 2000 sp4 installed.

I've gone through the steps in this article:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197489.aspx

and followed them all except for the "Migrate the repository" part as it was
supposed to be optional. Also, this is a single server setup, so I do not
have the DSO installed as the article said it was not needed for single
server install.

When the build fails, the eventviewer reports application errors from the
following:

MSSQLServerOLAPService: User NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE, logged in from
computer <server>, does not have administrative permissions on the server,
but tried to perform an administrative operation on the server. This may
indicate an intrusion.

Office SharePoint Server: Cube build failed to connect to the Analysis
Services server. Verify the data source connection is valid

Do I have to pre-populate AS with anything, and specify the data source?

Ok, I think I've got it ironed out actually....should have not been so hasty.
I had added the OLAP Admins group to the AS directory, but hadn't rebooted
the server....lesson learned...must reboot the server when I change
permissions next time. :)

Hmmm...to be honest I do not know what that service is called under
'services.msc'. I assumed it would be SQL Server Analysis Services or
something to that effect, but at any rate I had tried restarting "Microsoft
Office Project Server Queue Service", "MSSQLSERVER", and
"MSSQLServerOLAPService". I guess that wasn't enough. Oh well.
